Alex Stewart Internationals laboratories tailor their services to deliver cost effective and fast turnaround analytical services without compromising quality and result accuracy.

All of our laboratories are strategically located to work together with international commerce and industry in  Argentina, Brazil, Chile,  Ecuador , India , Kazakhstan, Kenya, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, Ukraine and the UK . All chemists are fully qualified and experienced and all laboratories are supported by full sample preparation facilities for bulk samples.

Metals and minerals laboratories are purpose built, fully equipped with traditional and modern instrumentation, to provide a fast, reliable and accurate results for mine audits for Governments in emerging and developing countries, geochemical and environmental analysis for approved mining exploration companies, and also commercial metal analysis for active mine productions, metal refineries and traders at the consumer end of the metal value chain.

Aquaculture and agriculture laboratories carry out GAFTA and FOSFA approved analyses on sealed shipping samples, contract and international reference samples for oils, fats, oilseeds, edible nuts, fatty acids, acid oils, distillates, animal feed, grain, wheat, rye, barley, oats, millet, peas, beans, soya, fish and food products. ASI laboratories also provide analytical services and certification for food labelling factors such as nutritional and calorific values, trace metal detections for animal feeds and also for biomass. Microbiological testing for major pathogenic and spoilage microorganisms includes processed cooked or uncooked meats, food and dairy products. 

Environmental laboratories work to ISO standards and report organic and non-organic parameters to ppm and ppb levels. Types of analysis include waters and bacteria in water, pollutants, heavy metals, anions, seawater; soils and sewage treatment for heavy industry; environmentally sensitive mining projects and also geological research and development projects.

Agricultural analytical services are coordinated by Alex Stewart Agriculture and cover the full spectrum of tests from aflatoxin, oil, moisture and ash content for bulk shipping samples to nutritional and calorific values for food; microbiological testing in Argentina, Chile, Peru and UK compliments the whole range of agricultural and food analytical services. Commodities certified include bio-mass/fuels, cereals, food products, molasses, nuts, oilseeds, oils and fats, rice, soya, sugar, sunflower, tallow and fertiliser. Alex Stewart Internationals' environmental laboratories all work to ISO standards and provide certification to organic and non-organic chemical parameters. Analytical services include soil, water, sewage and hazardous industrial waste, toxic emissions, air and gases. All environmental laboratories have experience providing results for mining research projects, heavy industry and local or regional water authorities.


Geochemical: Argentina

Alex Stewart International's principal geochemical and environmental laboratory Alex Stewart Assayers Argentina is located in Mendoza, Argentina and provides world-class sample preparation and full analytical services to the mining industry in both Argentina and Latin America.

Geochemical analytical and sample preparation services are tailored to Argentina 's mining industry by acknowledging both senior and junior mining projects need for fast and accurate assay determinations. The laboratory combines both high tech instrumentation and classical wet geo-chemistry methods such as fire assay, micro-gravimetric, AA, ICP-OES, and regularly participates in certification programmes including Geostats and CANMET round robins.

Sample preparation is not restricted to our static Mendoza laboratory; we can overcome logistical complexities by preparing samples at mine sites. We have considerable experience in designing tailor made and mobile sample preparation facilities that can be equipped to meet specific requirements and that are transportable from mine project to mine project. Typical mobile preparation facilities would include drying oven jaw crushers, lab-technic grinders, riffles, sieves, shakers, dust extraction.

Environmental services are provided to many industries particularly mining exploration companies, water authorities, universities, councils and government organizations. Services range from analysis of sewage water, potable water, gas emissions, soils and hazardous waste.
